Sky Climber sends a huge CONGRATULATIONS to the O3-Zone Robotics team for their 2nd-place award in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition.
The O3-Zone team built their robot in 6 weeks, within budget and specifications, and scored a very close 2nd place in a group of 30 regional teams. This is a personal best for the team!
FIRST is a unique sporting competition designed to help high school students discover the rewards of engineering and science. Throughout the annual competition, students learn about business principles including marketing, fundraising, finance, business plans, presentation skills, and time management.
This year, we helped the team by laser-cutting a series of aluminum parts for the competition robot. Check out these videos to see them in action!
