PROJECT NAME: Bayat Towers, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
APPLICATION: BMU (Building Maintenance Unit), Window Cleaning The Bayat Plaza Towers are twin prominent residential towers located in the heart of Jeddah.
Sky Climber was selected to provide the façade maintenance systems for the sleek external architecture of these two prestige residential buildings.
Typically for the Middle East, the roof terrace is surrounded by a 4m high parapet to conceal all the air-conditioning equipment. The difficulty for Sky Climber was to design a BMU that could reach over the 4m high parapet and circulate in a very narrow corridor around the perimeter of the building.
The solution was to design a specific BMU with a double jib and a compact body capable of circulating in the required runway. In addition, the BMU is equipped with an Auxiliary hoist (or GRU) with a very high lifting capacity of 500Kg to allow the replacement of particularly large glass panels on the facade.
