The new headquarters for the Belgian construction company Cordeel are located above the drydocks of the former Boelwerf shipyard. The new building is 100 meters long and 26 meters wide and has been pre-assembled before it was put in place by large cranes. It is 14 meters above ground level and 20 meters above the water. The new building rests on two pillars above the drydock.

Sky Climber was selected to design and manufacture a solution with monorails to give full access to the underside of the building to perform all necessary maintenance and repair work.

The fully-cladded 16-meter-long Sky Pl platform can travel the full length of the building, suspended from a monorail. The monorail is recessed into the soffit and is almost invisible.

The platform has a 2-meter cantilever to allow it to cover the whole ceiling area and is also equipped with an additional lower proximity sensor to work safely above water

Furthermore, Sky Climber also supplied monorails integrated into the ceiling of the louvers of the facade. Trolleys fitted with material hoists are mounted on these monorails to maneuver glass panels along the facade during installation and replacement.
