In April 2018, construction began on the new MK Maiskogelbahn cable car project for the connection between Kaprun-Maiskogel and Kitzsteinhorn. This ultra-modern cable car will carry 123 silver-coloured cabins over a distance of 4km. Each gondola-cabin will carry 10 passengers from the Valley Station to the top of the Maiskogel at 1500 m above sea level.

Sky Climber platforms were installed to finalise the cable-rope splicing operation in which the two rope ends are connected to form a loop.

The 4M Light Weight Stage platform was suspended from an Ultra-light weight tubular frame. Due to the very limited space available on the roof, the platform could not be suspended from standard roof beams. Instead, a mobile frame construction was assembled using lattice girders.

Due to the very difficult alpine terrain, the whole system, platform and suspension frame, was lifted in one go to the roof of the machinery building, located at the top of the mountain.
