FLYDECK
The FLYDECKTM horizontal access system is a patented and certified suspended modular system engineered for bridge and viaduct maintenance, tunnel work, and overhead industrial applications.
FLYDECK
FLYDECK™ is a modular horizontal access platform engineered for bridge, tunnel, and overhead industrial maintenance where traditional scaffolding or under-bridge systems are impractical.
- Rapid installation using FLYRAIL™ guide beams
- Suspended access without lane closures
- Adaptable aluminum or steel beam configurations
- Designed for complex geometries and irregular structures
FLYDECK™ Horizontal Access Platform for Bridges, Tunnels, and Overhead Work
The FLYDECK™ modular horizontal access platform is built for bridge and viaduct maintenance, tunnel lining and ceiling work, and overhead industrial maintenance where traditional scaffolding or under-bridge units are not practical. Lightweight, reversible beams and quick-connect pins support fast assembly while helping crews reduce disruption to traffic and operations above.
Where FLYDECK™ Fits Best
- Bridge and viaduct inspections, repairs, and rehabilitation
- Tunnel lining, ceiling maintenance, and overhead access
- Industrial facilities with wide spans and limited ground access
- Projects with obstacles such as piers and complex geometries
Why Choose FLYDECK™
Faster setup, less downtime
A trained crew can install up to 200 m² per day using FLYRAIL™ guides, reducing setup time and keeping schedules moving.
Work below, keep the site moving above
Suspended access enables work under structures without the footprint of ground-supported systems, helping minimize lane closures and interference with operations.
Designed for complex geometry
FLYDECK™ supports longitudinal or transverse assembly and can be configured to navigate piers, obstacles, and irregular structures with reversible beam and deck options.
Assembly built around control
Quick-connect components and integrated accessories reduce steps during assembly and adjustment. Guardrails, toe boards, and safety net options support jobsite safety planning
System Highlights
- Beam lengths: up to 6 m
- Connection system: spigots and spring pins support rapid assembly
- Guides: FLYRAIL™ guides support productive installation and spans over obstacles
- Load capacity: configuration-dependent and engineered per project
Manufacturing and Distribution

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the FlyDeck™ system and how does it work?
FLYDECK™ is a suspended modular horizontal access platform designed for bridge decks, viaducts, tunnels, and overhead industrial structures. It uses aluminum or steel beams suspended by chains and can be assembled longitudinally or transversely depending on site constraints. The system integrates with FLYRAIL™ guides to accelerate installation and improve productivity.
How is FLYDECK™ anchored to a structure?
FLYDECK™ can be suspended from concrete bridge decks, steel beams, or reinforced concrete beams using engineered anchoring systems. Anchoring options include expansion anchors and adjustable clamps depending on substrate conditions. An executive project and pull-out tests are required per project.
What beam sizes are available?
FlyDeck beams are available in 25 cm and 45 cm aluminum U-beam configurations. Steel beams are available upon request. Beam lengths can extend up to 6 meters, depending on configuration.
What is the load capacity of the FLYDECK™ platform?
Load capacity depends on configuration. With steel decks and chains every 6 meters, the guaranteed load capacity is 1.5 kN/m². Capacity can increase by reducing chain spacing or doubling beams.
How quickly can FLYDECK™ be installed?
Using the FLYRAIL™ guide system, installation time can be reduced to approximately 30–50% compared to traditional methods. A trained crew can assemble up to 200 m² per day under typical conditions.
Can FLYDECK™ span over piers and obstacles?
Yes. FLYRAIL™ guide beams allow uninterrupted spans over piers and obstructions, enabling efficient installation beneath complex bridge geometries.
Can FLYDECK™ platforms be moved once installed?
Yes. The system can be repositioned without full disassembly using motorized load capacity winches (up to 200 kg) and controller systems. Quick beam release connections allow selective adjustments.
Is multi-level platform configuration possible?
Yes. FLYDECK™ supports multi-platform configurations using specialized corner supports, enabling maintenance operations at multiple elevations.
